New JR EAST PASS: all JR East lines incl. Shinkansen, 5 days for ¥35,000
Since March 14, 2026 the JR EAST PASS covers every JR East line (Tohoku, Akita, Yamagata, Joetsu, Hokuriku-to-Joetsu Shinkansen), Tokyo Monorail, Nikko/Kinugawa Tobu-direct expresses and several partner lines: ¥35,000 for 5 consecutive days or ¥50,000 for 10. It replaces the separate Tohoku and Nagano/Niigata passes.
