Pick business hotels with a public bath: a free onsen soak every night

Several business hotel chains have their own large bath or onsen. Filter for one and you get a hot soak after every long walking day at no extra cost; one woman found the women's bath usually empty.

Check first: Check the listing for 大浴場 (large bath). Tattoo rules vary. A UK traveller with small tattoos had no issues in her Tokyo and Kyoto hotel baths.
