Phone overheating outdoors? Stick a drugstore cooling patch on it
Japanese drugstores and konbini sell cheap cooling gel 'fever patches' (netsu-sama-sheet style). Stuck to the back of your phone, they keep it usable during long sunny events and games.
Check first: Crowd hack from one thread; another commenter's phone died after 3 hours in the sun. How long a patch lasts wasn't stated.
